Civic Educator of the Year

Congratulations to Janice Yates, social studies teacher at East Grand Rapids High School and adjunct professor in our department, for winning the Civic Educator of the Year award from Michigan's Center for Civic Education. Janice is an accomplished civic educator in many ways, but perhaps her most notable professional accomplishment is her coaching of the fabled East Grand Rapids We the People team.
